According to § 2, No. 4 BeschV, a fellowship should be provided by German public institutions, by the European Community or by international governmental organizations, e.g. United Nations Organization.

In case of a fellowship from the hospital in your home country an approval of residence permit and work permit cannot be guaranteed.
