Dear parents and visitors,
Welcome to the web page of the Division of Paediatric Neurosurgery, Department of Neurosurgery at the Eberhard Karls University Hospital of Tübingen (www.pediatric-neurosurgery.de).
On the following pages, we are going to inform you concerning our team, principles of care, and administrative structure. We would also like to inform you on the range of diseases treated by the Paediatric Neurosurgery in Tübingen, about our therapeutic principles and the specific neurosurgical methods of treatment for our little patients.
We understand paediatric neurosurgical care and treatment as an integrative process combining paediatric neurosurgical expertise with the knowledge and experience of all other paediatric disciplines, including the parents' specific knowledge about their child. In addition to being part of the network of the University Children's Hospital, we are cooperating closely with the Departments of Neuroradiology and Paediatric Radiology as well as the surgical colleagues of Paediatric Surgery, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, ENT, Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery and Paediatric Orthopaedics. It is our aim to offer our young patients an individually adjusted treatment plan that can be continued by the referring physicians and/or institutions after the inpatient stay.
Our team combines the specialised paediatric neurosurgical knowledge and expertise with microsurgical experience and techniques acquired in our long-standing and highly specialised care of adult patients.
As you are from abroad, it is highly recommendable that you should contact us via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or telephone first (+49-7071-29-86448, 8 am - 12 pm daily) to exchange information concerning the condition of your child. We kindly ask you to forward us all available recent paperwork and especially the latest imaging available on CD or via Internet. This is necessary for us to be able to make an informed decision regarding admission or outpatient evaluation of your child.
We sincerely hope that the following pages will prove both informative and helpful.
